You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

Peace is a sense of well-being and security. It relates to happiness and welfare. It is a state that arises from trusting that all is well. It is therefore kin to hope and linked to joy (see Romans 15:13).

Peace is a promise from God. Throughout the Bible, we see God's peace available to those who trust Him. God is called "the Lord of peace" in 2 Thessalonians 3:16 because true peace is only found in God. This kind of peace does not depend on circumstances -which we often cannot control. It is entirely dependent on God who never changes! It is complete and "perfect". It may not make sense naturally, but it stabilises us through every storm because we are in Christ.

Receive God's perfect peace as you Write the Scriptures this week:

Psalm 4:8

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

John 16:33

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

2 Thessalonians 3:16

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.

Isaiah 26:3

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Psalm 119:165

Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.

Romans 8:6

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
