We are firmly in spring. Once bare trees are blossoming and colourful flowers are blooming. Springtime gives us hope for a future harvest. The Bible reassures us that as long as the earth remains there will be seedtime and harvest. This is a reflection of the faithfulness and reliability of our God. As we witness seasons change again and again we can remind ourselves that everything else God said is true. This is reason for new hope and rejoicing no matter what we are facing on a personal, national or global front. Our ever-loving Father has good plans for each one of us and is well able to fulfil them.
New Hope: Commit to hopeful trust in the steadfast love of God as you Write the Scriptures this week:
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Job 8:7
And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great.
Malachi 4:2
But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Lamentations 3:22-24
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
Psalm 30:5
For his anger is but for a moment, and his favour is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
