Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27

It is actually possible to reduce anxiety and worry to zero. I had first-hand experience of this recently. I received some news which had the potential to derail some significant plans. I began to worry and consider several unfavourable outcomes but then I felt a prompting to cast the anxiety on God so I did. There was an instant exchange. God took all traces of worry and gave me complete and continuous peace. I have thought about the situation since but without a hint of worry - only peace. Praise God!

Often the reduction or elimination of worry is a journey of ups and downs but in this case, it was instant and constant. I believe God wants these Scriptures to become alive to us so that we truly believe that when we give Him worry He is true to His Word and will take the feeling of worry and give us constant peace.

I think sometimes we live as though God has offered to share the load with us, when in fact, He wants us to give it all to Him so we are not weighed down by it at all. A problem shared is a problem halved where humans are concerned. God is big, strong and loving enough to take the worry off our hands and take care of the issue for us. We just have to let Him.

Give God every worry as you Write the Scriptures below and expect God to exchange them for constant peace.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Romans 16:20

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Numbers 6:24-26

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Psalm 85:8

Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly.

Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
